Abstract

We want Cadernos BAD to promote itself as a relevant resource in the field of Libraries, Archives and Information Science for professionals in the Portuguese-speaking world and in the national academy, so the ongoing renovation work is fundamental, as well as the need to promote a strategy to enhance the quality and visibility of the journal.

The issue that is now being published shows that Cadernos BAD is still a publication with a relevant production in the area and with a wide thematic spectrum, which in this case ranges from digital preservation, to inter-municipal library networks, to knowledge representation or impact assessment in information services, to a historical synthesis of the process of creating district archives, or an inventory of a bookshop as documentary testimony.

We wish to maintain the publication of Cadernos BAD with relevance, honoring all its historical contribution, and to focus on bringing the journal closer to professionals, institutions and national academia, seeking to affirm Cadernos BAD as the most relevant publication in the Lusophone space in the field of Libraries, Archives and Information Science.
